1. Membership

There shall be 4 (six) categories of membership, namely, Student&Youth, Young Professional, Professional, SMME, each with its own eligibility criteria.

1. Students & Youth
1.1 Studying full-time/part- time with no working experience.
1.2 R50.00
2. Young Professionals
2.1 Less than 8 years ICT Experience.
2.2 R250.00
3. Professional
3.1 More than 8 years ICT Experience.
3.2 R500.00.
4.1 – 49 employees
4.2 R2500.00


1.1 Applications for membership to the Forum must be made on a form prescribed by the Forum from time to time.
1.2 Any applicant for membership or existing member of the Forum may be required to furnish the Board of Directors with such additional information as it may require for the purpose of determining her class of membership or any matter relating to her membership.
1.3 Applicants are required to apply for membership through the Provincial Chapter in which they are resident or employed or in which they engage in their trade or business. Until such time as the Provincial Chapters are established, the National Office shall process and manage membership applications, a central repository of members’ details and ongoing relations with members.
1.4 Upon the establishment of the respective Provincial Chapters, such members will automatically be transferred to the Provincial Chapters’ membership register.
1.5 There will be payable to the Forum by every member (Except Honorary Members) such subscriptions as the Board of Directors may from time to time determine.
1.6 Such subscription, if any, will be payable in full and will be payable in advance upon the person becoming a member of the Forum and will thereafter be paid annually on the member’s anniversary date. 
1.7 A person will, upon ceasing to be a member, remain liable for and will pay to the Forum all subscriptions and other monies due by the member up to the date when their membership ceases.
1.8 The admission of all members shall be general resolution of the Board of Directors passes at a General Meeting.
1.9 The Provincial Chapters are required to submit an updated register of members to the National Office of the Forum within 7 (seven) days of the end of each calendar month.
1.10 An annual membership certificate will be issued to each member upon receipt of the annual subscription fee.


1.1 Upon admission, members will be deemed to have agreed to be bound by the Constitution of the Forum.
1.2 The Board of Directors shall have the right to decline any application for membership and undertakes to provide reasons for such decision upon written request from an applicant.
1.3 The Forum shall develop, keep and maintain a central repository / database containing complete and accurate details of the different categories of members, which shall be used only for the purpose of furthering the objectives of the Forum. This repository shall be updated from time to time.
1.4 Members are required to ensure that the central database of members contains updated information, especially contact details such as email and postal address, which will be the most favorable communication mechanism used by the Forum to communicate with its members.


1.1 A member will cease to be a member of the Forum if any one or more of the following exists: 1.1.1 If a member dies.
1.1.2 If and when, in the opinion of the Board of Directors, a member ceases to meet the eligibility criteria applicable to members from time to time.
1.1.3 If, after giving at least one month’s notice in writing to the Forum, before the anniversary of his / her membership, a member resigns.
1.1.4 If a member defaults in renewing membership fees and fails to remedy such default within 30 days of having been reminded to do so.
1.1.5 If membership is terminated as a result of a disciplinary action taken against a member.
1.1.6 If a member is declared by a court of law to be of unsound mind;
1.1.7 If a member is found guilty by any court of law of any criminal charge deemed by the Board of Directors to be of such a nature as to warrant termination of membership; or 
1.1.8 If a member conducts herself in a manner that places the Forum’s reputation at stake.
